Experience Lake St. Catherine’s sister, Little Lake, from a new perspective during this educational community paddle. We’ll explore the lake’s numerous natural communities keeping our eyes out for diverse plant and animal species. Along the way, we’ll cover the greater context as well: from bedrock and post-glacial geology to human history and lake structure and dynamics. Led by plant ecologist and retired biology professor Jim Graves and VLT Project Director, Pamela Burlingame this event is open to all knowledge and skill levels and combines gentle recreation with an engaging introduction to the natural history of this beautiful, shared lake resource.
Please note: participants are encouraged to bring their own watercraft, but if you don’t have one, let us know during registration and we’ll do our best to source something for you.
