Conservation easements can play an important role in helping landowners achieve long-term goals for their woods, families, and communities. Consulting foresters assist landowners in implementing the management that helps achieve those goals.
This session will provide an overview of common conservation easement components, including ecological protections, forestry considerations, and the roles and responsibilities of landowners, consulting foresters, and land trusts throughout the process. The webinar will also create space for open dialogue about questions, concerns, and evolving practices around easements and working forest conservation.
Consulting foresters will have an opportunity to submit questions and feedback in advance through the registration process to help shape the conversation. 1 SAF CFE credit has been approved.
