VHCC Legislative Day

For conservation and housing leaders, plus VHCB beneficiaries

This is our opportunity to share how VHCB dollars are being put to work in communities across Vermont. The Vermont Housing and Conservation Coalition will have a table in the Card Room from 7:30am to 2:30pm and there will be testimony and time to connect with legislators throughout the day. More details on the schedule will be shared as we get closer to the event. To help you prepare, here are the talking points for this legislative session.

Schedule of Events

• 8:00 – 9:30 AM – Coffee with lawmakers, Cafeteria – schedule 1:1 on your own
• 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Committee testimony
  • 9:00 AM – Senate Natural Resources and Energy
  • 9:00 AM – Senate Economic Development and Housing
  • 9:00 AM – Senate Agriculture
  • 10:30 AM – House Environment
  • 10:30 AM – House Agriculture, Food Resilience, and Forestry
  • 10:30 AM – House General and Housing
• 9:30 AM – Welcome VHCC members, House Floor – meet in balcony 
• 10:00 – 11:00 AM – Remarks from House and Senate leadership to VHCC, Room 11 on first floor
• 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM – Lunch with lawmakers, Cafeteria – schedule 1:1 on your own
• 12:30 PM – Cake, Cafeteria
• 1:00 – 2:00 PM – Committee testimony
  • 1:00 PM – Senate Institutions
  • 1:00 PM – House Corrections and Institutions
  • 1:00 PM – House Human Services

ALL DAY: Stop by the Card Room on the second floor outside of the cafeteria for schedule updates. This is a good place to connect with fellow members and say hello to lawmakers.
