Welcome migratory birds back to Vermont!
Every spring thousands of migratory songbirds, including the Hermit Thrush, our state bird, make their way north to summer breeding grounds. The Pratt Refuge in Duxbury is a birding hotspot and stopover for many of these migratory birds. Fred Pratt, a generous bird enthusiast, gave the refuge to the Vermont Land Trust along with 40 years of bird data.
Veteran birders will lead small groups on a guided walk where we’ll identify birds by sight and sound. This event is perfect for birders of all abilities! Please pre-register today.
Note: an ASL interpreter will be providing services at this event.
The Vermont Land Trust welcomes all people regardless of background or identity.
