Stick Season, that time between leaf fall and snowfall, is a great time to see and enjoy some of the smaller things in the forest. Join ecologist Liz Thompson in an exploration of the mosses, lichens, and fungi in the forest. Old forests, with their abundant down wood, old stumps, and varied habitats, are especially rich in species, and we’ll visit some old forests together to find them. The talk will be illustrated with close-up photos of all kinds of little things. This event if perfect for anyone who enjoys a walk in the woods, whether on foot or from their armchair.
