About this event: Natural Areas In Vermont
Join us for this online event as we explore four VLT-conserved natural areas around the state. Learn about the natural features of these special places, and how to access them. We will (virtually) vist:
Lowell Lake in Londonderry. This beautiful place to paddle and hike was protected in partnership with Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation.
Mount Equinox in Manchester. This land was protected as “forever-wild” and has one of the northeast’s premier Rich Northern Hardwood Forests. It is managed by Equinox Preservation Trust.
The Peter A. Krusch Nature Preserve in Cambridge. This brand-new preserve provides access to streams, waterfalls, and to an ancient pine forest on adjacent state land.
Bluffside Farm in Newport. This VLT-owned property offers views of Lake Memphremagog and access to its wild shores.
This free webinar is perfect for anyone who likes to explore Vermont, whether on foot, by boat, or from their favorite armchair. Please pre-register today.
This event will be led by four Vermont Land Trust staff members:
Liz Thompson, Director of Conservation Science
Pieter van Loon, Lead Forester
Bob Heiser, Champlain Valley Regional Director
