A vast, thoughtfully managed town forest in the heart of Chittenden County
The Hinesburg Town Forest is one of the state’s largest, including 18 miles of trails and a few areas of dispersed recreation through a quintessential Vermont northern hardwood forest. Whether you seek nature or sport, this forest offers something for everyone.
The land is owned by the town and thoughtfully managed by the Hinesburg Town Forest Committee, who partnered with Vermont Land Trust and the Hinesburg Land Trust to expand and conserve the forest in 2022. The forest’s trails are stewarded by local mountain biking group, Fellowship of the Wheel.
