To improve the quality, sustainability and accessibility of the trails at Brewster Uplands, VLT has been working throughout the summer to rebuild many miles of the network. At this Open House, we’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the Pond Loop Trail towards the end of construction and learn about the work to improve accessibility.

Led by the trail builder Greg Fatigate of Rabbit Tracks Trail Works, and VLT staffers Annalise Carington and Allaire Diamond, this event will go over principles of universal design as they relate to recreational trails, as well as share specific examples how the trail is being modified in order to be better accessed, understood and used by all people regardless of their age, size, ability or disability. Attendees will also get to learn about the specific equipment and techniques used in accessible trail building.

The Vermont Land Trust welcomes and affirms all regardless of their age, culture, abilities, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, marital status, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
