Get stoked, grab your skis or splitboard and come to Sterling Valley in Stowe for a ski party! VLT and Stowe Land Trust will be joined by partners including Mansfield Backcountry Alliance who will be offering guided backcountry ski tours (note: tours are now full). Don’t have the right gear or curious to try something else? Mountain Ops will be offering free demos of various types of skis to get you into the woods. Don’t have a set up? Contact Mountain Ops and they will be happy to set you up free of charge. We’ll also have representatives from the Catamount Trail Association and Stowe Nordic to help you learn about trails to ski both in Sterling Valley and beyond. Plus learn about how VLT and SLT help protect the places you love to play outside!
We’ll be set up at the Sterling Forest Trailhead from 9:30am to 1pm on Sunday March 2. In addition to everything mentioned above, we’ll be passing out hot drinks and sweet treats (while supplies last)! Registration is not required, but if you’d like to let us know you’re coming and be the first to hear of any event updates, you can RSVP via the link below.
Please note that parking is limited, so carpool if possible, be sure to only park in the Forest Lot and if it’s too full, check out some of the other amazing places to get out in the area.
The Vermont Land Trust welcomes and affirms all regardless of their age, culture, abilities, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, marital status, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
