What: VLT’s online Annual Meeting, featuring keynote speaker Xusana Davis, Executive Director of Racial Equity for the State of Vermont; announcement of conservation awards; and announcement of new Trustees

Why: The Vermont Land Trust will explore the connection between land access, equity, and justice with keynote speaker, Xusana Davis, Executive Director of Racial Equity for the State of Vermont and head of the newly established Racial Equity Task Force. Davis has served as an official in the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and as past director of New York City Council’s Black, Latino, Asian Caucus. She has a Juris Doctor with a concentration in International Human Rights Law from New York Law School, where she also directed a civil liberties education program for low-income and minority youth.

Woman - Xusana Davis serves as the State of Vermont’s first Executive Director of Racial Equity. She will be the keynote speaker at VLT's 2020 annual meeting.
