Garden Plots Available for 2021 Season at Bluffside Farm
Looking for a place to grow food?
It’s time to plan gardens, and we’re doing just that at Bluffside. Last year, as the pandemic hit, we joined with Vermont Youth Conservation Corps and ShiftMeals to establish a garden where volunteers grew food for themselves and their neighbors. It was an inspiring and successful effort, and drew many volunteers from the community.
This year, the one-acre garden site is being split into thirds and will host VYCC’s community health care share garden, a plot for the Abenaki community and the Abenaki Landlink project, and – for the first time – garden plots for the community.
Garden plots available at Bluffside!
We are excited to offer individual plots for the first time! Each plot will be 25 x 25 feet and will have access to water. We expect the garden will open mid-late May and run into the fall, depending on frosts on either end of the season.
Applications are now open to reserve your plot! Plots will be free of cost to all gardeners in 2021 in order to provide relief from the Covid-19 pandemic. Donations to VLT to offset the cost will be greatly appreciated. We’re accepting applications until April 15.
