Please help us establish a new 51-acre nature preserve on land located along North Cambridge Road. If successful, this new town forest will offer walking trails, improved access to Cambridge Pines Natural Area and its old trees, outdoor education, and great habitat for animals.
The late Peter Krusch owned and stewarded this land for 60 years. It has woods, meadows, streams, wetlands, ravines, and waterfalls. Peter and his wife, Sally Laughlin, conserved a portion of the land with the Vermont Land Trust in 2003 and envisioned making it the first nature preserve owned by the Town of Cambridge. Now, Sally is working with the Vermont Land Trust and the Cambridge Conservation Commission to fulfill that vision.
